September 15 - Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.
Prompt Response: Out of all 15 vocabulary words, I think I will be using adulterate, affectation, and aesthetic the most. I chose these 3 words because their pronunciation sounds satisfying. I already use the word aesthetic a lot. Even when I'm with my friends. When we take pictures and they come out good, we say they look aesthetic. Affectation is basically a fancier word for fake. So instead of calling someone fake, you would they're filled with affectation and they'd probably look at you confused, especially if they don't know the meaning of the word. When we use the word adulterated, we're sometimes referring to drugs or mixed substances. But, instead of just using those, you could say adulterated substances to make you sound more professional.
Summary: Today in class, we worked on a workbook.
Reflection: Today I learned a new set of vocabulary words.
