November 18 - Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?
Prompt Response: One time I had an encounter with a homeless person when I was walking out of a store downtown. There was a man sitting near the entrance with a small sign that said he was just trying to get something to eat. At first, I honestly didn’t know what to do. Most people were just walking past him, and I felt awkward because I didn’t want to seem rude. I didn’t have any cash, but I had a snack I had just bought, so I gave it to him. He smiled and said thank you, and he seemed genuinely grateful.
Summary: Today in class we read a new short story.
Reflection: Today I learned about using context correctly.
